Forum Panel: Climate Change and Health
The impacts climate change is already having on human health is growing among the scientific community. Yet, we have not seen health system leaders play a sufficiently prominent role as advocates for climate change mitigation and adaptation. The Climate Change and Health forum will review missed opportunities and how to leverage some of the most trusted voices in society.

Hello. Nice discussions on the climate change and health. I like the idea of having health workers being in the frontline on the climate change rather than being reactive when things go south. However in low and middle income countries, rarely do we resources focusing on preventive. the meagre resources are usually directed unfortunately to the curative services. Its a bit hard to shift policy PRACTICALLY towards preventive (though documents say so). How can we have global advocacy efforts especially focusing on LMICs

The report acknowledges climate change can affect women and children, the elderly, those with pre-existing conditions, people in low-resource settings, and indigenous communities in a disproportionate manner. Barring healthy men in high resource settings, everyone else is included in this list. There needs to be a better way to prioritize populations that are likely to bear the brunt of climate change – wondering what that would be?
